Pet therapy.

Sometimes your perspective can be improved by simply a change of venue.  We arrived home about 45 minutes ago to a happy collection of domesticated creatures.  A dog licking your face because he is thrilled to see you is better than all the antidepressants in the world.

Michelle and I are somewhat numb, tired, and very glad to be home.  We will talk about options, and what we want to do next.   In the meantime, I will just enjoy the therapeutic effects of an independent cat pretending she didn’t miss me while purring like a tiny motorboat as I pet her.

take time to grieve and actually feel your feelings about this. it will help you get through it. it is inspiring to hear that you are still able to find some comfort through prayer, through your relationship with michelle and with your animals. thanks for keeping us up to date as i’ve been most worried. i can’t imagine what you are going through.

    Deron & Michelle-

I am so very sorry to hear the news about Miles. Kim K. told me about your blog, so I apologize that I am just getting around to send you both a message. My heart goes out to you both and you will be in my thoughts and prayers. Your attitude is a true inspiration and I know that good things will come. Know that I am thinking of you both during this time and wish there was something I could do for you.

    Love,

    Holly

Children bring great joy… and great pain. I pray daily for the health and well being of my babies – knowing that I’m never guaranteed tomorrow. I’m heart broken by your loss, and I pray that you never have to suffer like that again. But I also pray that you are able to experience the level of joy again that Miles was able to give. I pray that his life is blessed and that good things come from this for everyone involved.
